Ziraat Bankası and TKDK launch agricultural investment financing
Ziraat Bankası and the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) have launched a financing initiative to support agricultural and food sector investments through the TARGET Project. Coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and funded by the World Bank, the project aims to improve access to finance, increase production capacity, and strengthen the agricultural-food value chain.
Under the project, legal entities can access repayable financing for up to 80% of their investment costs. Depending on the project size, loans of up to 10 million USD will be available with terms of up to 7 years, including a maximum 2-year grace period. These funds are designated for the construction of facilities and investments in machinery and equipment.
The total planned financing for the 10-year period is 5.3 billion USD, with an initial phase of 750 million USD scheduled for disbursement. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Ahmet Bağcı stated that the project is a significant step toward increasing rural welfare and enhancing the competitiveness of producers by supporting various stages of the value chain, from production to logistics.
