Zisis Stylianos criticizes previous AEL FC management
Zisis Stylianos, the new owner of AEL FC, has launched a sharp critique of the club's previous management under Achilleas Davelis. Speaking at an EPS Larissa event, Stylianos described the state of the club upon his takeover in early July as highly disorganized.
Stylianos claimed that he found only three players and a training center in a state of total disarray, comparing the facility to a forest. He also noted significant issues with team equipment, including a team bus with faulty tires and no air conditioning.
To implement a radical change in the club's operating model, Stylianos announced that 95% of the previous staff has already been dismissed, with the remaining 5% expected to follow. He emphasized that because he has no other business interests in Larissa, such as construction, hotels, or restaurants, he is free to make necessary and difficult decisions without local dependencies, stating, “I came here to break eggs.”
