Zitácuaro flower producers agree to strengthen Poinsettia supply chain
Fabiola Alanís, a deputy on leave, met with producers, marketers, and distributors of Poinsettia (Nochebuena) flowers in Zitácuaro, Michoacán, to establish agreements for strengthening the local productive chain.
The strategy focuses on improving commercial articulation between different stages of production, expanding market channels, and addressing the operational needs of agricultural workers. The initiative aims to increase sales volume and economic dynamism in the Zitácuaro municipality and the state of Michoacán.
Alanís highlighted the essential role of women in the cultivation and sale of the ornamental plant. She noted that these efforts align with the development guidelines of the government led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, emphasizing a model of shared prosperity to improve the living standards of families dependent on this industry.
