Ziya Öztürkler meets with T-Bikers Türk Motor Kulübü delegation

Ziya Öztürkler, Speaker of the Assembly of the TRNC, met with a delegation from the Netherlands-based T-Bikers Türk Motor Kulübü during their tour of Cyprus. During the meeting, Öztürkler emphasized the importance of maintaining connections between the Turkish Cypriot people and their compatriots living abroad.

Öztürkler addressed recent challenges facing the country, specifically mentioning the deep sadness caused by a recent shipwreck off the coast of Kyrenia. He noted that efforts to locate missing persons are ongoing and offered condolences to the families affected.

Furthermore, the Speaker criticized efforts to isolate Turkish Cypriots from the international community. He specifically argued that the doors of international sports and cultural organizations should not be closed to Turkish Cypriot youth, stating that preventing young people from participating in global events is contrary to the spirit of sports.
