Zizur Mayor: Minor arrested for alleged sexual assault during local festivities

A minor has been arrested following an alleged sexual assault involving touching against another minor during the local festivities in Zizur Mayor. The incident occurred during the early hours of the weekend between Saturday and Sunday.

Local police initially made the arrest and transferred the case to the Policía Foral, which is now leading the investigation. The suspect remains in custody pending judicial proceedings.

The Mesa contra las Agresiones Machistas en Fiestas has issued a public statement expressing absolute rejection of the incident, describing it as a form of machista violence. The organization emphasized that leisure spaces and festivals must be safe environments free from fear. They have called for collective social responsibility and have organized a protest at Erreniega Park on Tuesday, September 1, at 7:30 p.m. to denounce such violence.
