In an interview with Stan Sport, the 18-year-old Herrington stated that Ibrahimovic reached out unexpectedly to check on his well-being. Ibrahimovic reportedly encouraged Herrington to keep his head up and continue working hard, sharing that he had faced similar moments during his own career.

This support comes as Herrington prepares for a transfer to Premier League side Hull City. He recently made his starting debut for the club in a Carabao Cup match against Stoke City.
