Zlatko Dalić debuts with 4-0 UAE victory over Yemen

Zlatko Dalić made a successful debut as the head coach of the United Arab Emirates national football team, leading them to a 4-0 victory over Yemen in the opening round of Group B at the 27th Gulf Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The UAE secured the win through goals from Nicolas Gimenez, who scored twice, and Luan Pereira. An own goal by Yemen's Nader Sahal also contributed to the scoreline. This victory ends an eight-match winless streak for the UAE in this regional competition.

Dalić, the former Croatia national team manager, is under contract with the UAE until 2030 with the long-term goal of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup. The Gulf Cup features eight national teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals.
