Zlatko Tripic sets new Eliteserien assist record

Eliteserien Zlatko Tripic Viking FK assist record Norwegian football

Zlatko Tripic has set a new Eliteserien record for the most assists in a single season. During Viking FK’s 3-0 victory over Lillestrøm, Tripic provided his 19th assist of the campaign, surpassing the previous record of 18 set by Philip Zinckernagel in 2020.

With eight or nine matches remaining in the season, Tripic expressed his ambition to reach 20 assists. The victory maintains Viking's perfect home record for the season and keeps the club in close contention for the league title, sitting level on 50 points with Bodø/Glimt.

In addition to Tripic's record-breaking performance, Kristoffer Haugen scored the opening goal, and Peter Christiansen secured the win with a penalty. The result keeps the title race highly competitive as the season enters its final stages.
