Zlín and Turnov implement road updates ahead of school year

Municipalities in the Czech Republic are implementing various infrastructure and safety measures ahead of the new school year. In Zlín, authorities are renewing horizontal road markings at pedestrian crossings near schools and kindergartens to ensure maximum visibility for increased child traffic in September.

In Turnov, significant traffic restrictions remain in place due to the construction of a sports hall and utility work by ČEZ Distribuce. In the Alešova and Za Sokolovnou streets, the construction site area has expanded, and certain sections remain closed to the public. Pedestrian paths are expected to become passable starting September 1, though finishing works will continue. Drivers are advised that current restrictions are expected to last until at least September 21, 2026.
