Zlín municipal guards secure local and Senate elections
During the municipal and Senate elections in Zlín, approximately 30 municipal guards were deployed to ensure public order and security. The security measures, coordinated with the Police of the Czech Republic, involved 853 patrols around 74 polling stations across two days.
While no major disruptions to the voting process were reported, guards managed several localized incidents. These included redirecting traffic following a burst water pipe near polling locations, resolving a verbal dispute between two individuals, and herding three bulls away from a busy road near the D49 highway. The incident involving the livestock is expected to be referred to administrative authorities for further investigation.
