Zlín Region reports successful summer tourism season

The summer tourism season in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic has concluded with positive results, characterized by stable attendance compared to last year and a significant boom in motorhome and caravan travel.

Regional tourism officials noted that visitors increasingly combine multiple activities, such as pairing nature excursions with historical sites or cycling with cultural events. Key attractions included aquaparks in Uherský Brod and Uherské Hradiště, which saw nearly 100,000 visitors, and the Valachian Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, which hosted over 108,000 guests.

In the camping sector, operators reported record demand for caravan and motorhome pitches, with some facilities reaching capacity much earlier in the week than in previous years. However, a shift in consumer behavior was observed: while accommodation demand is rising, interest in on-site catering services has declined, as more travelers prefer to bring their own food and supplies.
