Bartosz Zmarzlik excluded in Manchester Grand Prix, Brady Kurtz leads
During the Speedway Grand Prix held at the National Speedway Stadium in Manchester, six‑time world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik chose the fourth gate (yellow helmet) but was blocked by Max Fricke on the first lap, crashed and was excluded by the referee. The incident sparked a strong reaction from the crowd. Zmarzlik recovered enough to finish third overall, but the crash cost him the overall series lead.
Australian rider Brady Kurtz won the final, securing first place in the event and moving into the lead of the Grand Prix standings, overtaking Zmarzlik. Fellow Australians Jack Holder and Max Fricke completed the podium. Polish riders Kacper Woryna placed eighth and Patryk Dudek finished twelfth.
The results changed the championship points: Kurtz 65, Zmarzlik 62, Holder 55, Jensen 45, Woryna 44, Fricke 42, etc. Zmarzlik also extended his record of consecutive Grand Prix finals to twelve, matching legends Tony Rickardsson and Jason Crump.
