Znatzi Publishing Announces New Works by Hristo Fotev and Lyuba Kolchakova
The Burgas-based publishing house Znatzi has announced several upcoming projects during its 20th-anniversary celebration at the State Puppet Theatre. Founder Rumyana Emanuelidu revealed that the publisher will release previously unpublished prose and dramatic texts by Hristo Fotev next year.
These texts were discovered in archival documents during the publisher's efforts to preserve the literary heritage of Burgas. Additionally, Znatzi plans to release an album dedicated to ballerina Lyuba Kolchakova in 2027 to commemorate the centenary of her birth. The album will feature photographs and memoirs collected over many years.
Other recent and upcoming highlights include the first Bulgarian translation of W.B. Yeats’s poem ‘The Stolen Child,’ translated by Zhivka Ivanova. The publisher has also launched a new series titled ‘Famous Authors Write for Children,’ which includes Fotev’s 1986 work ‘Morsko Konche.’ Future plans also include a film adaptation based on Emanuelidu’s book, ‘Teatrat AB,’ which chronicles the history of a theatrical group and director Yulia Ognyanova.
