Znojmo family completes comprehensive home renovation
A family in Znojmo has completed a comprehensive renovation and expansion of their two-story home. Originally built by the owners before their children were born, the project involved significant structural changes, leaving primarily the walls and roof from the original construction.
Designed with input from architect and interior designer Kateřina Čambalová, the interior features a cohesive aesthetic using light oak, white, and grey tones. The ground floor includes a living room, dining area, kitchen, a social room with a fireplace, and a master suite. The upper floor houses children's rooms, a second bathroom, and a fitness area.
Key design elements include custom-made furniture, oak slat ceilings, and a combination of oak veneer with matte white lacquer. To achieve a balanced look, designers utilized jackal vinyl instead of concrete screeds in most areas, reserving concrete for the bathrooms. The home also features functional details such as a reading nook built under the staircase and custom storage solutions.
