Znojmo Hospital celebrates 500th baby of the year

Znojmo Hospital in the Czech Republic celebrated the birth of its 500th baby of the year on Friday, October 16. The newborn, a girl weighing 3,160 grams, marked a milestone for the maternity ward.

In conjunction with this milestone, the hospital highlighted its expanded support services for new mothers. The facility provides postpartum home visits, which are fully covered by public health insurance. These visits, conducted by midwives and lactation consultants, focus on monitoring the physical recovery of the mother, assessing the newborn's health, assisting with breastfeeding, and providing psychological support during the sensitive postpartum period.

Additionally, the hospital offers flexible prenatal courses tailored to different needs, including five-week programs, one-day group meetings, and individualized sessions to ensure expectant mothers feel prepared and secure.
