Zoe Ball launches new afternoon show on Greatest Hits Radio

Radio presenter Zoe Ball has launched her new weekday program, ‘Zoe Ball In The Afternoon’, on Greatest Hits Radio. The show airs Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., preceding Simon Mayo’s slot.

Ball, 55, opened her first broadcast by playing ‘I’ve Got The Music In Me’ by the Kiki Dee Band. This move follows her departure from BBC Radio 2, where she previously hosted the flagship breakfast show. Ball noted that while she remains grateful to the BBC for her career, she is excited by the opportunities within commercial radio.

Her return to a full-time weekday slot follows a period spent with her family. She expressed enthusiasm about working alongside fellow presenter Ken Bruce, who also moved to Greatest Hits Radio in 2023.
