Zoe Florescu advances toward Formula 1 with F1 Academy wild card

Seventeen-year-old Romanian racing driver Zoe Florescu is advancing toward Formula 1 after receiving a wild card entry for the F1 Academy. Florescu, a pilot for More Than Equal, currently competes in the Spanish Formula 4 championship, where she is one of only three female drivers.

Florescu began karting at age seven and entered her first competition at age ten. Her progression in the Spanish Formula 4 series has seen her move from the back of the pack toward the middle of the standings. She has expressed a strong passion for racing on Spanish circuits such as Portimao and MotorLand.
