Zoe Lofgren delivers $850,000 for Gilroy agricultural resource center

U.S. Representative Zoe Lofgren has presented $850,000 in federal funding to Santa Clara County officials to establish an Agricultural Resource Center in Gilroy. The funding, part of Lofgren’s fiscal year 2026 congressional appropriations cycle, is intended to help the county acquire a permanent facility or land for the center.

The center aims to support the region's more than 8,000 agricultural workers and their families by connecting them with essential services. Proposed resources include assistance with government programs, labor and employment rights, housing, healthcare, mental health, immigration, food security, and childcare.
