Zoe Saldaña declines further Taylor Sheridan projects due to ‘Lioness’ workload

Actress Zoe Saldaña has stated she has no intention of joining additional series within Taylor Sheridan’s television universe while she remains committed to the Paramount+ series ‘Lioness’.

Saldaña, who serves as both the lead actress playing CIA operative Joe McNamara and an executive producer, noted that the demands of the role are exhaustive. She described her workload as being the first on set and the last to leave, involving intense physical preparation that begins months before filming commences.

The third season of ‘Lioness’ has reportedly increased these demands, as the character of Joe McNamara shifts from a remote commander to a direct target of operations, facing heightened physical and emotional vulnerability. Saldaña indicated that her current commitment to ‘Lioness’ is all she can manage at this time.
