Zoe Saldaña focuses on ‘Lioness’ workload

Zoe Saldaña has addressed her current professional commitments, stating that her roles as lead actress and executive producer on the Paramount+ spy thriller ‘Lioness’ are her primary focus. Saldaña noted that the workload for the series is extensive, involving preparation months before filming and long hours on set, leading her to decline joining other Taylor Sheridan projects for the time being.

In a recent interview, Saldaña also discussed the unexpected narrative developments in the third season of ‘Lioness’. She revealed that the return of character Aaliyah Amrohi, who was a central figure in the first season, was a surprise even to the cast and creator Taylor Sheridan. Saldaña attributed the character's return to the strong connection and loyalty fans have shown toward the relationship between Aaliyah and the character Cruz Manuelos.
