Zoe Saldaña leads highest-grossing Black actors in Hollywood

A 2024 ranking based on data from The Numbers has identified the highest-grossing Black actors in Hollywood based on their combined worldwide box office revenue.

Zoe Saldaña holds the top position, with her lifetime worldwide box office total exceeding $15 billion following the success of ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’. She is the first actor to appear in four films that have each crossed the $2 billion mark.

Samuel L. Jackson follows in second place with approximately $14.6 billion in worldwide receipts, bolstered by his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and franchises such as ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Jurassic Park’. Dwayne Johnson ranks third with over $11 billion, while Don Cheadle follows with approximately $9 billion, largely driven by his role in the Marvel franchise.
