British YouTubers Zoe Sugg and Alfie Deyes have been absent from YouTube, Instagram and other platforms for several months. Their last public posts appeared at the end of 2022, and they have not confirmed whether the hiatus is permanent. Earlier in the year they discussed the possibility of ending their online presence, saying they wanted to stop while fans still enjoyed their content.

During the break the couple acquired a five‑acre plot north of their West Sussex home and submitted a planning application to the local council for a donkey enclosure, stable, wildlife pond and related structures. The proposal has triggered a dispute with nearby residents over fence height, access gates and the impact of heavy vehicles, prompting a local planning debate in the Brighton‑area parish council.
