Zoey Serrano discusses time cuts and style in women's wrestling

Former WWE star Zoey Serrano, known professionally as Zoey Stark, has shared insights regarding the challenges faced in women’s professional wrestling. In a video on her YouTube channel, Serrano stated that her primary concern is not the oversexualization of female performers, but rather the frequent reduction of their allotted in-ring time. She estimated that in approximately 90–95% of matches, women's time is cut, forcing performers to prepare multiple contingency plans—referred to as “Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C”—to ensure they can reach the match finish quickly if instructed to do so.

Serrano also discussed her wrestling style, noting that being told she “wrestles like a dude” is the highest compliment she has received. She explained that she strives to emulate an aggressive, hard-hitting style inspired by performers such as Eddie Guerrero and Stone Cold Steve Austin, noting that such a style is often viewed as a significant achievement for female wrestlers.
