Zoey Serrano shifts wrestling style following injury and reflects on WWE tenure
Professional wrestler Zoey Serrano, formerly known as Zoey Stark in WWE, has announced a significant shift in her in-ring style following a severe knee injury. Serrano stated she will no longer perform the missile dropkick to prioritize career longevity and physical safety, opting instead for a grounded approach centered on power, suplexes, and character work.
Reflecting on her tenure with WWE, Serrano also addressed her performance struggles, specifically regarding her microphone work. She admitted that her promotional segments often failed to connect with audiences and suggested that improving her promo skills might have led to a more successful run within the company. She noted the difficulty of competing against established veterans like Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus while possessing limited live microphone experience.
Serrano has since begun a new chapter outside of WWE, recently making an appearance in TNA where she attacked Indi Hartwell, signaling a move toward a more aggressive and physical presence.
