Zofia Strapeková Sole Slovak Artistic Swimmer at Paris European Championships

Slovakia’s artistic swimming delegation for the European Championships in Paris has been reduced to a single athlete after a teammate’s injury. Soloist Zofia Strapeková will represent the country in the technical solo final on 4 August at the Paris Olympic pool. Coach Monika Thuringerová explained that a planned participation in additional disciplines was scrapped because Lea Anna Krajčovičová suffered an injury, forcing the team to cut its broader program. Strapeková aims to build on her fifth‑place finish at the junior European Championships in Munich. She continues a busy season that includes the junior world championships in Budapest later in August. Her coach noted her good condition and the team’s focus on fine‑tuning the routine before the Paris competition.
