Zofingen railway station opens eleven new electric vehicle charging stations

Eleven new charging stations for electric vehicles are now available in the first basement level of the Zofingen railway station parking garage. The installation is part of a broader project to upgrade the station parking facilities.

The new charging points offer a maximum power output of 11 kW and are reserved exclusively for electric vehicles. The current electricity rate is set at 44 Rappen per kilowatt-hour, a price that will be periodically reviewed and adjusted based on changes in electricity costs.

City Councilor Robert Weishaupt stated that the public charging infrastructure provides an attractive service and contributes to the promotion of electromobility, addressing the growing needs of residents, visitors, and hotel guests.
