Zoho launches POS solution across Gulf retail markets

Zoho Corporation, a global technology firm, announced the rollout of its Zoho POS software in the main Gulf Cooperation Council markets – the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait – following an earlier launch in Saudi Arabia at the end of 2025. Haider Nizam, Zoho’s chief executive for the Middle East and Africa, said the retail sector in the Gulf is undergoing a rapid digital transformation and needs tools that meet changing customer expectations and growing regulatory requirements such as value‑added tax. Zoho POS provides a unified, cloud‑based platform for invoicing, inventory management, multi‑channel sales and customer insights, and works offline on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android devices. The solution is designed for quick deployment with minimal staff training and integrates with local POS hardware, supporting mobile POS terminals for faster checkout during busy shopping periods.

The launch aims to help Gulf retailers streamline operations, ensure VAT compliance and improve the overall shopping experience as the region increasingly adopts digital retail technologies.
