Zoho updates Catalyst platform for AI-assisted development

Zoho has introduced new capabilities to its cloud application development platform, Catalyst 3.0, specifically designed to support agentic AI coding assistants. The update aims to help developers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region convert AI-generated code into production-ready applications more efficiently.

The enhanced platform is compatible with existing AI coding tools, including Anthropic’s Claude Code and OpenAI’s Codex. By providing the necessary cloud infrastructure, deployment capabilities, and governance controls, Catalyst 3.0 allows developers to use their preferred AI assistants without the need to manually manage multiple cloud services or vendors.

Hyther Nizam, Zoho’s CEO for the Middle East and Africa, stated that while AI assistants have accelerated code creation, deploying that code into production remains a significant hurdle. The new platform is intended to eliminate the friction of stitching together separate cloud services, allowing for faster and safer application scaling with reduced operational overhead.
