Zoi Konstantopoulou criticizes Greek social media ban for minors
Zoi Konstantopoulou, president of the Plevesi Eleftherias party, has strongly criticized the Greek government regarding a new bill that proposes banning social media access for minors under the age of 15.
During parliamentary discussions, Konstantopoulou accused the administration of attempting to silence and restrict the rights of young people. She argued that the government is ignoring the voices of the youth and failing to address actual issues affecting children, such as inadequate school infrastructure and teacher shortages.
Konstantopoulou further alleged that the move is politically motivated, suggesting that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is attempting to limit digital access due to political friction with the younger generation. She also used the platform to criticize the government's handling of various domestic issues, including the Tempi train crash and allegations of corruption.
