Zolling hosts large-scale emergency response exercise

Approximately 700 emergency responders participated in ‘High Voltage 2026’, a large-scale disaster preparedness exercise held at Anglberger Weiher in Zolling. The simulation modeled a gas cylinder explosion at a music festival, resulting in approximately 170 simulated casualties with varying degrees of injury.

The exercise involved various organizations, including the Red Cross (BRK), Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, Malteser, local fire departments, and the police. To facilitate the drill, the Freising Clinic established a dedicated second emergency room to manage the simulated influx of victims. The operation focused on improving inter-organizational cooperation and communication across district boundaries.
