Zoltán Sánta, prominent wine expert and educator, passes away

The wine community is mourning the loss of Zoltán Sánta (1957–2018), a highly respected international wine expert and educator. Sánta was a prominent figure in Hungarian wine culture, serving as an instructor at the Borkollégium wine school and contributing to the development of WSET Diploma curricula.

A certified Sherry and WSET educator, he was also a co-author of the books 'A Bortankönyv' and 'A világ borai'. His professional background included nearly fifteen years in international relations following his studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, as well as leadership roles such as CEO of Interkoncert and work at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
