Zomato to launch Mehmaan Mode to hide food prices

Food delivery platform Zomato is set to roll out a new feature called Mehmaan Mode, which allows users to conceal menu prices when ordering meals for guests. The feature is designed for scenarios where a host passes their phone to friends or family to select dishes, preventing guests from seeing the cost of individual items.

The concept originated from a LinkedIn proposal by marketing expert Ayushmaan Agarwalla, who suggested the tool to alleviate social discomfort during group meal selections. Zomato founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal responded to the suggestion, stating that the company plans to implement the feature within the week.
