Zong and Zindigi launch Z-Wallet digital banking service

Zong and Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, have launched Z-Wallet, a new digital financial service integrated into the My Zong App (MZA). Utilizing Zindigi’s Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) infrastructure and operating under the State Bank of Pakistan’s regulatory framework, the service allows the app’s 22 million monthly active users to access banking features without downloading separate applications.

Key features include interbank fund transfers via RAAST and utility payments. The launch was attended by several high-ranking Pakistani government officials, including Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.

Minister Tarar stated that the initiative aligns with the government’s goal of promoting financial inclusion and establishing a cashless economy. He noted that the collaboration reflects Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for technological integration and emphasized the government's support for cross-industry partnerships that drive digital advancement.
