Zonguldak driver Miraç Kandil laid to rest after fatal crash

An 18-year-old driver, Miraç Kandil, has been laid to rest following a fatal traffic accident in the Ereğli district of Zonguldak. The accident occurred on the Ereğli-Alaplı highway when Kandil lost control of his vehicle, which veered off the main road and struck a parked truck.

Kandil, who did not hold a driver's license, died at the hospital despite medical intervention. His funeral was attended by family and friends, including his father, who attended the service under gendarmerie escort while serving a prison sentence. It was noted that Kandil had recently taken university entrance exams.
