Zonguldak economic proposals focus on youth employment and tourism

Oğuzhan Turhan, the Zafer Party Zonguldak Provincial Chairman, has proposed several measures to bolster the local economy, focusing on employment and tourism.

Addressing investments in the Filyos Valley, Turhan criticized the barriers facing local youth, noting that many are rejected from job opportunities due to a lack of experience. He proposed a ‘Local Employment Protocol’ to ensure that Filyos Valley projects prioritize the Zonguldak workforce and provide necessary training for inexperienced young workers.

Regarding tourism, Turhan emphasized that the Karaelmas Express should benefit local businesses rather than just providing sightseeing opportunities. He suggested creating a ‘Karaelmas Tourism Economy Route’ to connect tourists with local tradesmen, museums, and industrial heritage sites to ensure economic benefits reach the city center.
