Zonguldak residents report ground subsidence at Kale Sitesi

Residents of the 135-household Kale Sitesi in the Tepebaşı neighborhood of Zonguldak are expressing urgent concerns regarding ground movement and subsidence. According to local inhabitants, the shifting ground has been observed around the buildings since 2024, with some residents claiming the issue has persisted for approximately two years.

Citizens have reported that while authorities, including the municipality and AFAD, have conducted periodic inspections, no permanent solution has been implemented. Residents state that while some notices were issued to 19 specific apartments, they believe the entire complex is at risk. They have expressed anxiety over the safety of their families and the potential for a larger collapse that could affect neighboring structures.
