Zonguldak veterinarian urges public to provide water for street animals during heatwave

Veterinarian Gökmen Koç has issued an urgent appeal to citizens to provide water and food for street animals as temperatures rise above seasonal norms. In Zonguldak, the intensifying heatwave has left stray animals facing severe risks of thirst and potentially fatal dehydration.

Koç emphasized that unlike humans, animals cannot ask for help when they are thirsty. He encouraged residents to turn the areas in front of their homes and workplaces into small life-support stations by placing out clean water and food to help these animals survive the extreme heat.
