Zoo Neuwied hosts Halloween festivities for families

Zoo Neuwied held its annual Halloween event, featuring themed decorations and interactive activities for visitors. The zoo grounds were decorated with carved pumpkins, which were donated by Obstgut Müller from Neuwied-Torney. These pumpkins were also used as enrichment for animals, including chimpanzees and tapirs.

Activities included a crafting station at the zoo school where children made spider hats and pumpkin masks. For more adventurous visitors, the zoo provided sensory boxes containing items such as fur, eggs, and a skull to touch. Additionally, a creepy-crawly station allowed guests to observe insects like walking sticks, cockroaches, and phantom stick insects up close.
