Zoo Schwerin launches 10‑euro summer afternoon ticket

The Zoo Schwerin in Germany has introduced a new summer afternoon ticket priced at €10 per person, regardless of age. The ticket is valid Monday to Thursday from 15:00 until the park closes at 18:00 and will be on sale until 30 September 2026.

The offer targets families, local residents and tourists who prefer a shorter visit. Ticket holders can still access all regular zoo areas, the shop and food outlets, and will benefit from a programme of public feedings and commentary, including a 17:00 presentation in the Humboldthaus and a 17:15 feeding of the Asian lions. Tickets can be purchased at the day‑box office or via the zoo’s online shop and city service portal. Marketing manager Anne Schilling said the ticket allows visitors to explore the large grounds in a relaxed three‑hour window.

The afternoon ticket complements the existing “evening ticket” sold 60 minutes before closing and represents a permanent discount rather than a one‑off promotion.
