ZOOM announces NEURIG neural guitar modeler with DNA Engine
ZOOM has announced the upcoming release of NEURIG, a neural modeler for guitar amplifiers and effects featuring the new “DNA Engine” (Dynamic Neural Archive). Scheduled for release in early November 2026, the device utilizes a hybrid approach that assigns neural processing to specific circuit blocks, allowing it to replicate not just static tones, but the dynamic behavior of knobs, EQ adjustments, and picking touch.
NEURIG supports the open-source “NAM A2 Lite” standard, enabling users to import over 700,000 files from the TONE3000 community via the SessionZ Pedal app. The hardware includes dual touchscreens, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and a “RIG” function that allows users to save up to 200 pedalboard presets with seamless switching that preserves reverb and delay tails.
The ecosystem will include the SessionZ Pedal cloud service, which offers AI-driven features such as generating guitar sounds from text prompts, AI stem separation for practice, and hands-free YouTube playback via foot switches. The device also functions as a 48kHz/32-bit USB audio interface and includes Bluetooth audio capabilities.
