Zoom Communications reports Q2 revenue growth of 4.9% to $1.28 billion
Zoom Communications reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $1.28 billion, a 4.9% year-over-year increase that exceeded the company’s guidance. Enterprise revenue grew 7.8%, marking its strongest growth rate in three years and accounting for 62% of total revenue.
CEO Eric Yuan attributed this momentum to the integration of artificial intelligence within Zoom Workplace, noting that licensed monthly active users of Workplace AI features rose 125% compared to the previous year. The company is focusing on an AI-first strategy to convert communications into business workflows.
Beyond core operations, analysts are highlighting Zoom’s significant equity stake in the AI laboratory Anthropic. Having invested approximately $97 million, Zoom’s position is estimated by Bank of America to be worth roughly $3 billion based on recent Anthropic valuations. While currently held at cost-adjusted value on the balance sheet, this stake is viewed as a major financial asset that could provide substantial gains if Anthropic undergoes a public offering or secondary sale.
