Zoom introduces AI agents and clinical documentation tools

At the Zoomtopia 2026 conference, Zoom announced a suite of artificial intelligence features designed to automate workflows and enhance productivity. A central component is the Unified Context Layer, a system that connects meeting discussions with chats, documents, and business applications to provide AI with better business context.

Key upcoming features include AI agents capable of managing follow-up tasks, voice translation that mimics a speaker’s voice, accent smoothing, camera correction, and deepfake detection tools. These updates are expected to roll out between October 2026 and early 2027.

In the healthcare sector, Zoom unveiled enhanced Zoom Clinical Notes. This ambient AI-powered solution generates structured medical documentation from in-person, video, and telephone consultations. The tool supports transcription in 10 languages—including English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin Chinese—and generates standardized notes in English. It also features integration with electronic health record (EHR) systems via REST APIs and provides automated suggestions for ICD-10 diagnostic and billing codes.
