Zoomlion Ghana launches disinfection campaigns to combat flood-related health risks
Zoomlion Ghana Limited has launched extensive disinfection and disinfestation campaigns across multiple regions in Ghana to mitigate public health risks following recent flooding and heavy rainy seasons.
In the Volta Region, the company is conducting exercises across all 18 municipalities and districts in collaboration with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council. The initiative targets markets, lorry parks, schools, and public toilets to control disease vectors like mosquitoes and prevent the spread of cholera and malaria. The regional exercise is scheduled to conclude on September 19.
Simultaneously, in the Western North Region, Zoomlion carried out a two-day operation in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality. This intervention focused on municipal assembly premises, markets, and refuse sites to combat sanitation-related illnesses such as typhoid and malaria. Both regional efforts are being provided free of charge as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility programs.
