Zoomlion Ghana Limited praised for waste management in Krachi East

Safo Nketiah, the Krachi East Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has commended Zoomlion Ghana Limited for its corporate social responsibility efforts that support the municipality’s development and sanitation.

Nketiah highlighted that the company’s IRECOP facility in Yabram serves as a critical waste management solution for the area, which lacks a landfill site. The collaboration includes free waste lifting services and the provision of cleaning materials for National Sanitation Day exercises.

Furthermore, the MCE noted that the IRECOP facility produces affordable organic fertilisers that benefit local farmers. He stated that these interventions have eased pressure on the municipality’s limited resources and encouraged other corporations to support local assemblies in addressing sanitation and water challenges.
