Zoran Marjanović, who is currently on trial in Belgrade for the 2016 murder of his wife Jelena Marjanović, was hospitalized following an assault during the night.

Reports indicate the incident occurred around 3:00 AM in an apartment in Palilula. Marjanović reportedly engaged in an altercation with a friend, during which he was struck in the head with a gun. He was admitted to a medical facility around 3:30 AM with injuries to his head and body, including a brain contusion.

Marjanović has denied all charges in his ongoing murder trial. The proceedings were recently postponed to October 7 due to technical difficulties regarding the playback of surveillance footage from the day of the original crime. He has been defending himself from freedom since the Appellate Court overturned his detention in October 2023.
