Zoran Milanović praises infrastructure progress in Vir

Croatian President Zoran Milanović attended a ceremonial session of the Municipal Council in Vir to mark the Municipality Day and the feast of St. John the Baptist. During his address, Milanović praised the local leadership for the significant progress made in addressing long-standing urban and communal challenges.

He specifically highlighted the improvement of essential infrastructure, noting that the densely populated island lacked running water until 2013. Milanović stated that through targeted efforts, the connection to water and sewage networks has reached 35-40 percent, describing the turnaround as an ‘unreal success’ compared to the complex situation inherited by the current administration.
