Swedish symphonic metal band Zornheym has released its third single, ‘The Funeral March’. The track is part of the band’s upcoming studio album, Descending Into Madness, which is set to be released on October 2 via Noble Demon.
Inspired by Frédéric Chopin’s ‘Funeral March’, the new single incorporates cinematic orchestration, powerful riffs, and Scandinavian folk influences. The song’s narrative focuses on the character Dr. Bettelheim and his descent into madness, featuring a choir that portrays mourners and pallbearers.
Founded in Stockholm by multi-instrumentalist Zorn, the band utilizes a concept-driven approach that blends music with storytelling, centered around the fictional Zornheim Asylum.
