Zoya Hussain addresses global concerns regarding women's safety

Actress Zoya Hussain has stated that women are not completely safe in any country, noting that the issue of safety persists across all sectors, professions, and social classes globally.

Speaking during a promotional event in Mumbai for her upcoming streaming series ‘Hunkkaar: The Roar’, Hussain was joined by co-stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Raghubir Yadav. She remarked that while women have gained increased agency and better access to opportunities over the last several decades, the global situation remains far from ideal.

Hussain emphasized that the responsibility for ensuring safety lies with those in positions of power and authority, including politicians, employers, the police, and the defense forces. Her comments follow recent reports of sexual violence and harassment in India, including incidents in Jamui, Bihar, and Aastha Kunj Park, which have sparked public concern.
