Zápor-tó: Body of elderly man recovered in Szeged
Authorities have recovered the body of a man, estimated to be between 60 and 70 years old, from Zápor-tó in Szeged. The discovery was made on the morning of Sunday, October 11.
The Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters is conducting an investigation under general administrative procedures, which indicates that foul play has been ruled out. Unconfirmed reports suggest the individual may have lost control of his bicycle on a slippery path, fallen into the lake, and subsequently drowned after sustaining a head injury. A bicycle and a box were observed at the scene, and the man's bicycle was later found in the water.
This incident follows a similar occurrence at the same location in July, where a body was also recovered from a settling basin.
