Zrenjanin cemetery introduces digital navigation for gravesites

JKP ‘Čistoća i zelenilo’ Zrenjanin has introduced a digital navigation system at the Central Cemetery to assist citizens in locating gravesites. The project features an info-kiosk that provides instructions, navigation, burial schedules, and a cemetery map.

Users can access the system via a smartphone by scanning a QR code, which opens a web application without requiring a download. By entering the name of the deceased, the system displays a photo of the grave, the plot number, and precise location information. It then provides a digital path to guide the user to the specific site. Director Vladimir Vujin noted that while digital cemetery maps exist elsewhere, this system is unique in Serbia for providing complete navigation to specific graves.
